Marshall's First Christmas

Christmas was very tiring for all three of us but obviously Marshall was a very good boy this year. He got so much stuff and we have toys everywhere but I wouldn't have it any other way. He didn't feel 100% on Christmas but he was still a trooper!

Trip to see Santa

We took Marshall to see Santa at Bass Pro Shops on Tuesday. It was so quick and Marshall didn't get scared just sat there like a little man.

4 Months Old

Marshall is turning 4 months tomorrow and it's so crazy how quick he is growing. We took him in for his 4 month checkup on Wednesday and he had to get shots again. He did so good with them. He weighs 16 pounds 10 ounces and is 25 1/2 inches long. He is sitting up with help now and grabs everything or at least tries to. He is such a blessing to us and is growing too quickly.

3 Months Old

Today is Marshall's 3 month birthday and I can't believe it. Within the past month, has noticed his hands! It is so cute when he learns something new. He can't keep them out of his mouth or keep him down. He "talks" like crazy now and gets loud. He tries to talk over you and I guess he gets that from our families. He is now drinking 6 ounces with 2 teaspoons of cereal about every 4-5 hours. He is in his own bed in his own room now. I just couldn't do it for a while but once I decided, we are trying to stick to it. He is doing good and he sleeps through the night a lot of the time but not every night but we're hoping it will being to continue! I, of course, have started Christmas shopping and I just can't seem to quit buying him things/clothes even though I know he will have more than enough but it's all so cute and I want him to have it all! Enjoy the pics!

Have you seen these things I have??

A lot of firsts

Within the past week, Marshall has experienced many firsts...UT v. Alabama game, first day at Church, a Halloween party, and Halloween. During the game, Jennifer & Joe brought their little boy, Paxton, over and this is the first time they really noticed each other. It was so cute! Marshall did really good at his first time at Church and brought tears to my mom's eyes when we walked in. He was so quiet except during prayer but we think he was praying too :)! We went to a Halloween party at some friends house and there were lots of kids there so I know once he gets older, he will really enjoy it. The girls dressed up as redneck/white trash so Marshall joined in as a redneck. On Halloween, our family came out to eat and give out candy to all the trick-or-treaters and we had tons! Travis and I also took our little tiger to a couple of houses to go trick-or-treating even though he didn't understand, he was very good and content like always! It has been a great week and even better past couple of months with Marshall in our lives. He is such a blessing!

It's Been A While...

So I haven't blogged in a while. I started back to work the beginning of the month and I feel like I don't have much time at night to do things like this. Being back at work is so hard but Marshall is doing really well. We are very fortunate that he is staying with mother-in-law on MWF and my dad Tues and Thur. I think they kind of like it!:) but it's so hard being away from him all day long. He also spent the night away from home last Saturday night so Travis and I could go to our 10 year HS reunion. It was a lot of fun to see people that we haven't seen since we graduated. Marshall has handled all of this "separation" a lot better than I have but I'm making it. I just had my b'day and I have to say it was the best ever having my little man there with me to celebrate. He is definitely the most important person to me. So he turned 2 months old on Wednesday, the 21st. Time flies! We took him today for his 2 month shots and, of course, he handled it much better than me - thank goodness Travis was there with us. He weighs 12 pounds 14 ounces and is 23 inches long but doing great. He handled the shots like a champ. Cried when they did it but then has been doing really good since then...sleeping alot but doing good. These are some pics from the last few weeks. Hopefully, I can start blogging more often now or at least post new pics of Marshall for everyone to see.

Busy Week & Weekend

We had a busy week and weekend. Marshall met some people for the first time and had a few outings. It was so good to get out of the house especially since the weather has finally changed. We had a playdate with the Reeds on Wednesday so he met Jackson and Brayden for the first time that day. These are Chad & Julie's boys - for those of you who don't know - I worked with Julie for a few years at a law firm and they live out in Oakland too so I hope our boys will be friends! We went and saw Travis at work on Thursday and of course Marshall slept the whole time. We had a visit from Aunt Shirley and Sue on Friday. On Saturday, Marshall met our cousins - the Fraziers (Josh, Audrey, Aaliyah and Marlee) from Nashville for the first time. He also met Wayne & Vicki who are like my second parents on Saturday too. Marshall stayed awake for 4 hours that day but passed out as soon as we hit the road. He was so good that day and is really becoming more active. On Sunday night, we went to Travis softball game but he slept through the whole game. So today, we are staying at home and taking it easy and relaxing. This is my last week off work which is really hitting me hard but I just plan on spending as much time with Marshall as I can this week. I have posted some pictures from our week.

Happy One Month Marshall!

Today Marshall has turned one month old today and I can't believe it! This month has flown by. He has really started to become more active now. He has been smiling all day today and just in the best mood. He is such a blessing to us and we can't imagine our lives without him in it.

2 Week Check-up

So we took Marshall in for his 2 week check-up on Friday. I was very nervous driving with him in the car but he slept the whole way there and it wasn't as bad as I thought. He did very well at the doctor. He now weighs 8 pounds 4 ounces and is actually 21 1/2 inches long not 22. But he is a very healthy baby and is doing well so we were very proud. This was the first time that we met our pediatrician and Travis and I loved him. Thanks to Jennifer and Julie for the referral. He was very nice and down to earth and the nurses were very nice. Our appointment was at 9:00 and we were out of there at 9:15. That was awesome too. After we left, Travis went to work and I went to my mom's for a little while. It was nice to get out of the house for a while. Mammaw, of course, was happy to see him as well as my dad and mom. So all in all it was a nice day.

The doctor wore him out...

Marshall's First Week

So Marshall is turning one week old today. He was born Friday, August 21st at 8:14 p.m. He weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and was 22 inches long. I feel like this week has flown by but last Friday was definitely a long day but it was all worth it. We have had our good days/nights and bad. We came home from the hospital on Sunday afternoon. That first night was tough but I have the best husband in the world. He has stepped in like he's done this before. He has been so much help! He had to go back to work on Wednesday so I have tried to not wake him up when Marshall wakes up but sometimes he gets up anyway to help. We haven't had anyone spend the night with us and we have actually done pretty well with it. We have had help some during the day. Mom came out Monday and today. Brenda came out on Wednesday since Tuesday night was pretty tough and I really didn't get any sleep that night. He is such a precious boy and overall a really good baby. He stays content and is actually sleeping good at night for the most part - this will just take some getting use to. Even though it's only been a week, we couldn't imagine our life without him. Oh and he looks just like Travis.

1st Blog

So I have started this blog so family members and friends can enjoy pictures of our little baby boy once he arrives. But I thought for this first one since Marshall has not made his appearance yet that I would share pictures of his room. I have had a lot help from many people to be able to get his room ready for him to come home to. I am very happy with the outcome! I hope he will be very happy in his room! And on another note, if I don't go into labor on my own, I will be induced on Friday, August 21st! I hope each of you will enjoy this blog and will hopefully be able to keep up new pictures so our family and friends can watch our little man grow!
