6 Months

Marshall turned 6 MONTHS last Sunday, February 21st. I can't believe it. He is doing so much now. He sits up on his own all the time and loves it! He can pull up from laying back some and is working on it all the time. He smiles all the time and giggles too. I don't really know of any time when he is just unhappy. He gets a little fussy when he is getting hungry and tired but that is about it. He is still teething but hasn't cut one yet. We took him on Wednesday for his 6 month checkup and he is doing great. The doctor checked him and the RSV is officially gone and he is very healthy.

6 month stats:

Weight: 19 pounds, 4 ounces 80 percentile

Height: 26 1/2 inches long 75 percentile

Head: 43 cm 45 percentile

Diapers: Size 3

Shoe size: 3 wide so we bought 4

Clothes: 6-9 months for now but changing quickly

He is now eating fruits and vegetables mainly stage 1 but we have been doing some stage 2 now - not giving all at one time but trying different things. He loves sweet potatoes, carrots and squash in the veggie group (not green beans or peas but we got some mixed vegetables baby food and it had peas in it and he ate it up). He has liked all the fruits - bananas, pears, applesauce, peaches, and mango. We have tried some mixed fruits too and loves them! He is now sitting in his high chair all the time. When we go shopping, he is in the shopping cart like a big boy. He does something new every day and changing so much! Can't believe it's been 6 months already!

In a jumper that Paxton let him borrow - he loves to be moving

In the shopping cart in Target...he loved just being able to look around

In the big bathtub sitting in an inflatable duck until he can sit really good in the bath tub...loves taking baths...thank you to the Burnetts for letting us borrow this too

Valentine's Day Weekend

I don't have any pictures...I know I know. I should have taken some but we basically rushed around all weekend. My parents kept Marshall for a few hours on Friday night so Travis and I could go out to dinner by ourselves to Texas de Brazil for Valentine's Day. It has been a long time since we have done that mainly because I hate to leave Marshall since I have to all week for work. It was good for us to get out for a little bit. Saturday, we drove down to Mississippi to watch Hunter play basketball. It was good to go see Justin, Brooke & Hunter and just be able to hang out for a little while. We watched the Olympics and then came home. We finally made it back to Church on Sunday - it's been a while since we have been b/c of the weather/sicknesses. Aydin was there too so we went out to lunch with the parents, Jay & Dana, and Aydin. Aydin made Marshall a Valentine's card - it was so sweet. She gave it to him and he just held it there. Then Aydin had Valentine's Day cards for Marshall, me, my parents and her dada. We then went to the Burnett's to hang out and went out to dinner. Paxton is getting so big and doing so much that I can just see how quick he has changed and know that Marshall is on the same track. It was good to see them and get some "insight" on what is to come. We are hoping they will be in the same preschool class at Hope starting in August or September. We shall see. All in all it was a good weekend and Marshall is doing much better now and will be 6 months on Sunday. Time does fly! He is sitting up on his own now so it's hard to keep him still. I will try to post some recent pictures in the next few days.

More Pictures from our snow day

So...I haven't posted a blog in a while but it's been a crazy few weeks. Marshall has grown so much. Last week, we found out he has RSV which is a virus that is very contagious. We have been giving him breathing treatments since last Monday which is basically the only thing we can do to help. His breathing was very labored when we got him to the doctor last Monday. He hasn't really felt bad that we can tell but he coughs a lot and that can last for a while. He also rolled over for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We are at home today for a snow day - we had about 3 inches by the time we woke up and it was beautiful. We put him in his high chair for the first time today and he loved it! That's all for now. I will try to be better about posting blogs but sometimes my nights are just a little crazy!
